How are listings verified?
Submissions start from the platform's web address. We read the site's own metadata, check the brand against the Google Knowledge Graph where an entry exists, and a person reviews every submission before it goes live. Nothing is published automatically.
What does the "Vetted" badge mean?
Vetted platforms screen providers before letting them join — for example Toptal accepts only a small percentage of applicants. Open platforms let anyone sign up. Both are listed; vetted ones are marked so you know what to expect.
Where does the listing data come from?
From each platform's own website (descriptions, images, favicons), the Google Knowledge Graph (the entity card shown on listing pages), and our editors, who maintain attributes like withdrawal methods, certifications, and awards.
How is AI used on this site?
Only in the AI discovery search, which uses Google's Gemini model to suggest platforms matching what you describe. Those results are labelled as AI-generated and may be inaccurate. Listing pages and guides are not AI-written.
How do I get my platform listed?
Use the Submit a site page — enter your platform's web address and confirm the details. Listings are free. Platforms with a Google Knowledge Graph entry are verified instantly; newer platforms without one are reviewed manually.
Something about a listing is wrong — how do I fix it?
Use the contact page and tell us which listing and what's incorrect. Corrections are usually handled within a few days.
Is FreelanceSites.net free? Do you take commissions?
Yes, free — for visitors and for listed platforms. We don't charge for listings, don't take commissions, and links to platforms are direct with no affiliate redirects.
